Hello.
We are now in college.
again.
this is round 2.
Hollah.
The first adventure is about to be documented.
So lets go on a ride with your eyes kiddos.
The night was that of a Thursday.
The trip was spontaneously planned on Wednesday.
the need of bikes for transportation was a dire need for Veramitch & our new friend Milvertha Dream.
Which by the way,
Ethel Ray found quite pointless.
Merv is a very valiant & trusty steed of a bike.
Bikes at this location are very popular among the students.
But they only give out 4 a day.
So,
camping out over night is very common.
or so we thought.
The night began at approximately 11:47.
We were the first in line.
The blankets, pillows, & line of shoes holding our place in line were set up.
The concrete felt firm on our backs as we braced ourselves for a night to remember.
The meaningless conversation filled the campus air.
until we slowly slipped into the boarder line sleep state
between dream & reality.
The concrete soon became unbearable.
every position contorted our bodies into a pile of pain.
We heard some shuffled footsteps in the darkness.
Which awoke us all from the half sleep
at 2:30 in the morning .
We rubbed our tired eyes to see two Asian men standing over us.
"You waiting for biiiikes??"
We groaned & said,
"Yes, & now you are our body guards."
Rolled back over on our side & went back to "sleep"
Instant Friends.
The night drug on...
what seemed like hours were only minutes.
We were restless.
Once we actually fell into a peaceful slumber we were rudely awakened,
Yet another man stood at the door of the bike shop.
At 4:45 in the morning.
He yelled an exhausted,
"AHHAJSLKDJHHAOHSLAJDHHLKASJ!!!!"
We nearly collided into each others heads do to the cold weather cuddling session.
He started to mumble gibberish & then proceeded started to interrogate us.
"How long have you been here?"
"Are you seriously sleeping on the concrete??"
"Do you girls even need bikes???"
"WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?????"
We sat there disoriented & raccoon eyed.
Saying nothing.
He was obviously frustrated & we didn't want to irk him.
He ended up storming away with him hands thrown in the air.
We just watched him.
Still silent.
Milvertha let out a laugh that was so hilarious everyone couldn't contain their laughter.
We eventually laughed ourselves back to sleep.
At the crack of dawn,
the birds were chirping,
{tweedily~deet}
We arose with grace, class, & dignity.
surrounded by strangers.
We were like,
"wow, buddy boys, there are only 4 bikes not 40."
& our places are saved with our shoes.
But they obviously don't know how to read or count,
that's why they go to college.
We were a dream.
Supermodels to say the least.
Veramitch & Milvertha
Walked into the store & strode out with a bright,
shiny,
new to you,
gear shifting,
Nothing.
They came out empty handed.
no bike.
No nothing.
Thus we began the walk of shame.
Down the hill to our home.
Passing more strangers on the way down.
They felt sorry for us.
All is well though,
we had a good time,
& learned a valuable lesson.
Sometimes it takes a week to get a bike once your name is on a list.
We are individualist...We do what we want.
